Marijan Lanosović (1742-1812) professor of canon law at the Theological school of Franciscan General Educational Institution in Osijek registered (1783) his
course(s) of Canon Law lectured to young Slavonian and Danube-basin Franciscans in two
volumes: Ius publicum ecclesiasticum /Essekini E1783/ and Ius privatum ecclesiasticum
/Essekini 1783/. The contents of the first one, Ius publicum
ecclesiasticum, undoubtedly confirms that the Author did acquire the key postulates of the then Josephian canon law that provided justification for the particular enlightening caesaropapism in the Hapsburg
monarchy, regularly accentuated through "placetum regium" referring State - Church
relation. Under the related law pattern, since the end of the 18th cent. the state administration has been modified particularly in the segment of denoted
(State-Church) relation. This alterations became accomplished through the reception of administration decrees and in
further, as the legal manuscripts of M. Lanosović did verify, through the educational experience of the students
of theology.
