Review article

The count of Bribir, Pavle (Paul) II, Šubić origin, bequeathed (the testament from 1346) all together ten, mostly religious books to the Franciscan St. Marry's church in Bribir and St. Mary's church in Skradin. The Author describes and identifies the quoted books presenting the conclusion that the count Paul II did not express the intellectual curiosity appropriate to the layman of late Middle Ages. However, the testament becomes precious as the rare evidence of the existence of private libraries in courts of our mediaeval landed nobility.

Key words: Pavle (Paul) II of Bribir, Bribir, the library of Paul II of Bribir.
